Can I book Ani DiFranco?

Interested in booking Ani DiFranco? First please be aware of the guidelines outlined here.

  • Benefits & Fundraisers
Ani's association with various non-profit organizations is something that originates from her. While there are a number of causes Ani actively supports, all direction regarding that involvement comes to us directly from Ani. While the cause or program that you represent is undoubtedly a worthwhile one, the likelihood is that your proposed involvement from Ani is something that is not a booking possibility for her. Saying this is, obviously, not a reflection of your specific request or of the cause you represent, but is instead indicative of Ani's schedule and availability.
  • General Availability
Ani does not do one-out dates. Her performance availability is defined by her touring schedule. Basically, if the time frame, logistics and venue availability do not match up, a booking cannot be considered.
  • Production Details
Ani usually travels with production, which includes her tech crew. Count on at least six people on the road with her regardless of a particular tour schedule. Venue size should be at least 2,000 ranging to upwards of 15,000. Due to the limited amount of tour dates available overall, playing smaller venues is too limiting as regards ticket availability.
  • Budget
Touring expenses to Ani each night on the road, along with the financial responsibilities she has to Righteous Babe Records, dictate an amount of income that Ani must first achieve before realizing any income for herself. When adding this detail to the self-imposed ticket price limits Ani adheres to, the decision whether or not to consider a date relies significantly on the financial obligations versus projected income for each proposed show.
  • Opening for Ani
It has become Ani's practice to invite a fellow Righteous Babe Records recording artist to tour with her as support. Her goal is to encourage those Artists she's signed to her label, and to expose them to the broadest audience possible. This is not a practice that will end anytime soon.
