Artist Biography

Ane Brun is a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist originally from Norway.  Since 2000 she has lived in Stockholm, Sweden, where she started her own independent record label, DetErMine Records.  Her debut album “Spending Time With Morgan” was the first release in 2003 and received great reviews, being released all over Europe.  As well, it was nominated in the Swedish Independent music awards “Manifest” that year.  Ane’s fifth album, ”Changing of the Seasons,” was released in 2008, produced by Valgeir Sigurdsson (Björk, Múm, Bonnie Prince Billy, Coco Rosie, Maps, and more).  Ane’s first live DVD “Ane Brun Live at Stockholm Concert Hall” was released 2009.  Along the way Brun's received the Norwegian Grammy for best Female Artist, was nominated as best Norwegian Act on European MTV Music Awards, Best Norwegian Song of the Century (Norwegian National Radio), and best Swedish Female Pop Artist at the Grammys.
